Holla!

Yea! I'm off westward to my annual college friends girl's weekend in Denver and Keystone. There are eight of us coming this year - I am thrilled to no end! Holla!

All the World's a Stage

Ok, so yet again we are doing a Shakespeare production in the 5th grade - no small feat, I assure you! One week to go and the kiddies are doing wonderfully. My favorite quote so far comes from one of my students after we had discussed the validity and probability of Shakespeare, the poor, grammar-school educated, son of a glover, actually writing all of the plays and poetry on his own: "You son of a glover." - Jack to one of his classmates over lunch...nice.

I will update you on the performance after next week! :)

A Slow Boat to China...

Ok, so I know this is pitiful, but I am really missing my Monday night 24 ritual watching since the season finale last week. And, to top it off, Jack Baur is in yet another incredibly tragic, no hope of escaping, situation and Audrey is left in the cold again. I have to say, the finale wasn't all that great, but I am looking forward to some China action next January. Until then, say it with me now, "Let me do my job!"

Hooray!

He did it - hooray! Taylor Hicks rules - I love this picture! :)

Snaps for Mrs. C.!

I just had to post this picture in honor of my fabulous teaching partner! We had the best day today after a very rocky start to our week in 5th grade - hooray! When we get happy, we love to "give snaps" - so, for Mrs. C.'s birthday we took this shot - aren't they precious?!

Another First!

Two firsts for me to report: tonight I voted on American Idol ("AI" I am told by my sister) for the first time ever. Borderline questionable, I agree, but I have to give snaps for Taylor Hicks for bringing it tonight. I think you'll agree his picture and dance moves are reminiscent of a young man living in Dallas who trademarked the famous "cross" move. Maybe Taylor needs a consult...

I am also an aunt for the first time! Annabelle Caroline Rietz came into the world on March 15, 2006 in LA. To borrow a phrase from my sister, is she not the most precious tiny?

Little!

"Oh, really?"

Check out the precious siblings...

Easter 2006

I spent Easter in Dallas this year - fun times were had by all.
I'm sure all who endeavor to do this say so, but I am attempting to enter the bloggers of the world! I have to say I have envied the blogs of those close to me, so I'm hopping on board. enjoy!
