Eleven Months
Charlie's first palindromic birthday came and went in what felt
like the blink of an eye this February. Here's some of what he's been up
to...
Charlie has become enamored of the power of his teeth - carrying
things around in his mouth while crawling whenever he can. He is
definitely cruising at a faster pace but remains resistant to walking or
standing on his own. This month also brought his
first casualties associated with mobility – a bump on the temple, a
scratched chin, and a bloody lip. Much to my chagrin, he LOVES singing and
lighted toys (thanks, grandparents), and fervently continues his stand against
consuming green food or meat. His personality is developing at a pace as
well ... this one has strong opinions and squawks to make his desires known.
We. must. remediate. this. Ha.
I’m grateful, however, for his strong will and his curiosity. He continues to love books (Hug by Alborough and Owl Babies by Waddell are the latest favs) and
observing.
Charlie also had his first weekend overnight trip this month with
Mutti and Bear in Asheville, which went super well. Now if I can only get
him to sleep the 14 hours overnight that he did with them! At this point,
he’s still up once a night most nights.
I continue to stand in awe of how much I love this little miracle and am
grateful beyond words for the last eleven months I've had with him.
