One of my favorite things about mommy-dom thus far is breathing into the ordinary moments of life with Charlie.  In days that are fuller than full, I most treasure the banal, the routine - observing this little human learning how to be his own person.

Gear

Confession: the plethora of gear associated with having a baby was at the top of my pre-birth anxiety list. Six months into the parenthood ride, the clutter and the usual primary colors associated with swings, excer-saucers, and the like still causes the occasional cringe.

Admission: some of that gear is not only necessary, but pretty handy. Over the last few weeks, we added a Tummy Tub (European bath tub) and a Jumper Chair to our family of gear. Charlie loves both of them and his mother is eating a lovely slice of humble pie.
