"I Heart Father John"

So in my Boston post, I didn't really get to tell any of the many anecdotes that occured during our trip. Here are my top two:

1) Father John, relative of the groom, happened to be a very attractive, fun loving priest. At the reception, he had his own receiving line of ladies waiting to chat and dance with him -- and man, could he move! In this picture, Rae is one happy lady. Throughout the weekend, her mantra: "I heart Father John." It should also be noted that an older female guest at the wedding spoke to my father about the good Father: "what a waste" was her comment. hehe...

2) For the first time in my little life I felt like the minority...I was the only protestant in an all-Catholic wedding party. Per the advice of my fellow bridesmaids, during the service, I decided to pass on the communion so as not to "drink judgment" on myself and receive a blessing. So, I crossed my little arms across my chest and the priest (Father J) after a moment of shock, gave me a blessing. The funny part was dave got the blessing also - but NO ONE else did in the whole church - hmmmm....
So, I'm already feeling a little awkward when we all stand to say the Lord' Prayer. We say: "and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil." I say: "for thine is the..." The REST of the congregation says: NOTHING! Kate, the bridesmaid to my left, nudges me to shut up as I totally missed that some Catholics don't say that part and whispers: "You've totally got the scarlet P on your chest!" Well, I got the giggles, she got the giggles, and I know poor mar was looking at us from the altar shaking her head!

Those are just a few of the riveting details - thanks for reading...

Grey's what?

Is anyone else totatlly annoyed that ABC gives us one of the most drama-filled Grey's Anatomy's and then runs TWO WEEKS of re-runs? I, for one, am a little pissy about the whole business...thank God for Michael Scott and his Office.

I Love Boston in the Spring Time

Congratulations to Maureen Curtin Sullivan and Brendan Sullivan on their wedding March 24th! In addition to be a completely fab weekend, I got to see Boston for the first time and now completely understand why Lizzer and Bill loved it so. We had such fun celebrating with the two families and, as you'll see in the pics, so did they! Mom and dad even made the trip to support their friends Jack and Margaret (mar's parents) - so it was fun to celebrate with some fam as well...We had pretty decent weather -- low 50s at night and high 60s during the day with mostly sun. It was fairly windy, but we survived -- we even got to see a glimmer of snow on saturday night!

beautiful bride...mar's mom's veil was sewn into her petticoat

Foyer

So....we've almost completely moved in to the new house - got some painting done on the lovely sponge painted purple guest bedroom and silver hall bath as a house warming gift (thanks parents!) and I decided to tackle the foyer on my own...below is my result - I am pretty pleased! The house has good colors, but there were a lot of them -- as you'll see, I changed the dark blue entry to a lighter shade of the living room which transitions into the green hallway...I will post more pics of the new casa when we get some taken! :)
