So, for those of you who don't know, I am currently quite into raptors due to my classroom's partnership with The Carolina Raptor Center (www.carolinaraptorcenter.org) - ANYHOO...this morning as I was driving into work at 0-dark-thirty, a medium sized barn owl swooped into a yard as I pulled up to a stop sign. We locked eyes for about 10 seconds before he moved on...but what an incredible way to start a morning...
