Today was the first day of school for the 2007-2008 year and it started with a bang...highlights of the day included setting up our classroom community non-negotiables, building a raptor habitat, and, when asked to respond to the day, having a child write: "Today I felt a home."
It's been crazy busy setting up and I've been working long hours...but am so glad to be back in the swing of things with students. To all my fellow teachers out there...best wishes for the first day!
Good luck! I feel so comforted knowing such wonderful people are teachers! (sidenote: do you get to discuss with/teach your kids Harry P at all?)
